The university provides many resources to help students achieve academic excellence and wellness. These resources include:
- For Academic Support: Visit PennLibraries and the Weigle Information Commons; the Weingarten Center for academic support and disability services, which offers tutoring, learning consultations, workshops, and study tools; the Marks Family Center for Excellence in Writing, or any of these other services supporting academic skills
- I am committed to working with any students, in consultation with the Weingarten Center, to discreetly support your learning needs.
- For Physical and Mental Health: See Penn’s Wellness and Violence Prevention resources
- If you are feeling stressed or low, please reach out to me, to any other respected advisor, to the director of your respective programs, or to the mental health counselors at Penn Wellness. If you share personal information with me, I will make every effort to maintain the confidentiality of that information, but please be aware that in cases that involve the disclosure of sexual assault, self-injury, or intent to injure others, I may be required by the University to report my concerns (thanks to Professor Jessa Lingel, from whom I adapted this passage).
- For Finding Community: See the Communities tab on Student Services’ website for connections to the African-American Resource Center, Civic House, La Casa Latina, the LGBT Center, Student Clubs and Resources, and other sites and services.
